Intrinsic Value of Pets

The Republican Party believes pets have ‘INTRINSIC VALUE’ as opposed to material value. Over 85% of the US population has pets, and most believe their 4-legged critters are part of the family. A lot of people who live alone have a pet as their ONLY companion. Seven States have passed legislation recognizing the ‘Intrinsic Value’ of pets, making them worth more than a piece of furniture since they are not inanimate objects. This elevates pets above material property when civil and criminal cases allege mistreatment. Republicans encourage the remaining State and Territorial legislatures to recognize the ‘Intrinsic Value’ of pets.
